About poolcleanerreviews.cc

Pool cleaners range from $150 suction heads to $3,000 mapping robots, and the spec sheets don't line up: one maker quotes runtime, another pool area, a third doesn't mention filtration at all. This site puts every cleaner on the same scale and shows where each is cheapest today.

How we score

Our reviews are spec-based, not hands-on. We haven't run these cleaners in a pool. Each one is scored from what its maker publishes, in eight areas, and the areas are weighted by cleaner type: a suction cleaner isn't marked down for having no app, and a skimmer isn't marked down for not climbing walls. Every cleaner of a type gets the same weights, so two scores always differ for a reason you can see in the spec table.

Value is the spec score per dollar of today's best price (using the square root of price, so a cheap floor-only robot doesn't win outright), ranked against other cleaners of the same type: 10 is the best value we track, 0 the worst. It moves with prices; the spec score doesn't.

The review text, pros and cons are generated from the same specs and prices, so they always agree with the numbers.

Where prices come from

Each price is read from the store's own public product page, and each row shows when it was last checked: green within a week, amber within a month, red beyond that. A "was" price is shown only when the store shows one. Amazon prices come live from Amazon each time the page loads and are never stored; eBay listings are refreshed every few hours and hidden once they're more than six hours old.

How the site makes money

Some store links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Stores without an affiliate programme are listed too, and commissions never affect scores or ranking.
